Arkansas to South Africa…from the Arkansas-Mississippi
Delta to the East Coast…from the pulpit to the community,
Dr. Precilla L. Belin is known for echoing God’s
Word in the earth! Dr. Belin is an ordained preacher, anointed
prophet, professor, and founder of Precilla Belin International
Ministries (PBIM), Inc., a ministry of evangelism and community
outreach. Dr. Belin is a member of Kingdom Worship Center,
where she is under the Apostolic Covering of her spiritual
father and mother, Bishop Ralph L. Dennis (Presiding Prelate
of the Kingdom Fellowship Covenant Ministries) and Elder
Deborah S. Dennis. Dr. Belin has been ministering the word
of God for more than fifteen years and is mandated to “Release
God’s Kingdom From Within-to Advance God’s
Kingdom In the Earth”. Over the years, this woman
of God has served in various capacities under pastoral
leadership, from grassroots ministries to mega churches.
In addition to serving as Dean for a Ministers In Training
Program (MIT), she has held leadership positions in the
prayer ministry, women’s ministry, and single’s
ministry. Dr. Belin has also served as Minister to Health
within the faith-based and church community.
Dr. Belin earned her Doctorate
of Philosophy in Human Ecology with a concentration
in Community Health from the
University of Tennessee, where she was a fellow in
the Southern Region Education Board Doctoral Scholars
Program
and the 2001 recipient of the Outstanding Community
Outreach Award. As part of her research, Dr. Belin
implemented Tennessee’s
first ever breast cancer education project designed for
African American women, “Witnessing In Tennessee”.

Due to the overwhelming
acceptance and success of the project, funding was secured
to develop a component for African American men, “Witnessing
In Tennessee: For Men Only”, which focuses on prostate
screening and education. Dr. Belin also holds a M.A. in Gerontology
and a B.S. in Health Education with a minor in Chemistry, both
from the University of Arkansas-Little Rock (UALR). During
her academic career at the University of Arkansas, she was
selected to be a participant in the nationally acclaimed Ronald
McNair Scholars Program. Due to her exemplary work in the program,
Dr. Belin was nominated for funding to conduct summer research
and received the Ronald McNair Research Fellow Award for two
consecutive years. While attending UALR, Dr. Belin received
several other awards and honors including induction into the
National TRIO Hall of Fame and the Golden Key National Honor
Society.
Dr. Belin has taught
and conducted health behavior research at various academic
institutions, including the Arkansas Cancer Research Center,
the University of Tennessee, and Morgan State University, where
she served her first two years as the Director of the Breast
Cancer Prevention and Education Center within the Public Health
Program. Dr. Belin was also selected to be a W. K. Kellogg
Community Health Scholar and awarded a two year post-doctoral
research intensive fellowship with the world renowned Johns
Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Belin’s
specialized training was in Community-Based Participatory Research
(CBPR).
Being an administrator
and educator with a kingdom agenda and prophetic message, Dr.
Belin specializes in health promotion and disease prevention
at the graduate level and breast cancer research in the global
health sector. Dr.
Belin seeks to enhance public health practices via Community-Based
Participatory Research that involves designing and implementing
interventions with the faith-based and underserved communities
to increase knowledge and improve behavior regarding health
promotion. Dr. Belin received support and expanded her ministry
and work to the international level via journeying to Lusaka,
Zambia with the NaMayo Initiative, a collaboration focused
on holistic healing, specifically HIV/AIDS education and outreach.
Dr. Belin was a member of the highly-skilled and well-trained
clergy and health care professional team, which lead this effort.
She served as the Community Health Education Specialist and
as a Prayer Cluster and Ministry Leader.
Dr. Belin is a member
of various faith-based and civic organizations including the
American Public Health Association, the Consortium of Black
Women in Ministry, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the American
Association for Public Health Educators, the American Alliance
for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, and Kappa
Omicron Nu National Honor Society. Dr. Belin is also a Certified
Health Education Specialist and a founding member of the Community-Based
Public Health Caucus.
Dr. Belin is the proud
daughter of Mrs. Clorene Belin and truly believes “what
she makes happen for others, God will make happen for her”!!! |
